The exact paper that you are most advised to use with the HP DesignJet T520 naturally depends on the specific application you have in mind.

 

For CAD monochrome and line colour printing with light solid colour fill, for example, we would point you in the direction of our 80gsm or 90gsm inkjet plotter paper – the latter of which is also available in a 594mm width for printing to standard A1 size, meaning no need to trim. These are both high quality plotter papers that will give consistent results for light colour solid fill as well as line colour printing. And at a very affordable price.

 

Our 112gsm tracing paper is another recommended option for those seeking such results. With it’s smooth and uniform makeup, lay flat qualities and excellent transparency, this is often the paper of choice for architects and engineers for applications such as CAD overlays, design layouts and final drawings.

 

Alternatively, if you intend to produce presentation prints and in-house posters within the capabilities of the four ink cartridges, you may wish to investigate such possibilities as our 100gsm and 120gsm matt coated inkjet papers, or 165gsm and 180gsm matt poster papers. These heavier weight coated papers cope perfectly with the higher ink loads required for full colour prints with vivid colours and superb contrast, and also dry instantly to allow immediate handling. For an alternative, high quality finish and the same instant drying qualities, consider our Satin Photo Paper in, for example, 190gsm weight which will enable you to achieve sharp, brilliant images and fantastic colour contrast.

We are a small architectural practice and our Designjet 130 which had provided many years of reliable service decided it really had had enough and just wanted to retire. We have some very simple specific requirements when it comes to plotting - in house, low usage, low maintenance, simple to use, mostly basic black and white with some colour but occasionally presentation to a high standard. Sizes varying from A3-A1.
It appeared the T520 would be an ideal replacement and with that we sent out some preliminary enquiries to various suppliers. Prizma Graphics were not a company I had really come across before but they responded in a very positive manner answering any queries quickly and keeping in touch. Whilst prices in this particular market are very keen this combined with Prizma Graphics excellent level of customer service convinced us to proceed with the order. To date I have not been disappointed with both their continued level of support and the performance of the plotter.
